Since then their range and population size has expanded dramatically, now extending close to an 80 km diameter. Their impact on invertebrates and other food sources (as in this display mound) is currently being investigated by a student at the University of Tasmania, but from the soil disturbance it would be impossible not to think that a major impact is occurring. |
