Fri, 9 Mar:  Duckhole Lake walk

 Twenty three of us walked through rainforest along a track following the route of an old logging tramway. 
 

 

 

 

A Carabid beetle from under a log - Percosoma sp.

Boletellus obscurecoccineus mushroom,
about 40mm across.

Cortinarius sp. fungus, 150mm across, growing from the steep bank of a creek.

Lunch stop at Duckhole Lake, deep in the rainforest.

A Tetragnathidea spider suspended on its web about 150mm above the tanin coloured water of Duckhole Lake.
