Excursion to  Poimena Reserve,  6 June 2009

Poimena Reserve is in the northern suburbs of Hobart, Tasmania.
 

 

'Field nats' ready to set out - the weather was not very cheery, but we were!

The wet weather was excellent for fungi.

This is a *Dermocybe austroveneta.

Heading back down the park, with the Derwent River and Mt Direction in the distance.

 

The clear fairways are used for the game of Disc Golf,
where a frisbee is thrown to a series of these strange looking targets.
